After playing 6 qualifying matches the girls made the final with ease, after playing some sublime football. The final was a close-fought affair against a very strong Birkdale side ,with the girls battling back from a 2 goal deficit to trail 3 – 2 ,with time running out as we were pressing hard for the equaliser. The girls conducted themselves impeccably, both on and off the pitch, making the 10 hours spent at the tournament fly by. The delight was evident from both coaches and parents alike as the team deservedly received their medals in front of an appreciative crowd.
